Design Tip: Showcasing Products in Your Trade Show Display

ForceMarketingbranded

For almost 20 years, we’ve been helping businesses in a variety of industries showcase their products in their trade show display.  Often, we speak with businesses that are worried their products simply won’t stand out enough to gain attention on the trade show floor.  Whether you’re in the food industry, packaging, automotive, or technology, we’ve got the solutions to better showcase your product. Try these design tips in your next trade show display:

Design Your Trade Show Display Around Your Product

When it comes to shows like the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit, food is at the center of their trade show display.  However, how do you showcase food in an interesting way?  Many of our clients have chosen to design interesting booths that incorporate the farm to fresh theme in the produce industry with beautiful produce on display.  This can be as elaborate as constructing a barn made of reclaimed wood or as simple as creating a café environment with fresh foods featured in its graphics and displays.  Both are creative ways to showcase an item that could easily get lost behind layers of glass and refrigeration.

If you’re in an industry with a 3D product, it can be helpful to incorporate that product into your trade show display design.  Whether that’s machinery, food, technology, or solar power, designing a booth around your product in a creative way can showcase your product better.

Use Oversized Props to Showcase Your Product

Some products are hard to convey from across the trade show floor.  If your technology is about augmented reality, how do you make that easily visible in your trade show display?  Giant props have helped some of our customers to catch consumers’ eyes across the exhibit hall and showcase their complex product.

This isn’t exclusive to the largest companies with custom fabricated props.  Brands on a budget can easily choose a theme and use inflatable props and hanging graphics to draw the eye to their trade show display. Thinking outside of the box will help showcase products in a fun and interesting way.

Create an Experiential Event

Sometimes, you just need to get creative to showcase your product. If your product is hard to showcase such as industry news, try an experiential event.  One of our clients incorporated an experiential event into their trade show display, inviting automobile dealers to interview with them on camera.  This excited trade show attendees and drove more traffic to their trade show display.  By making them a part of the brand, they connected the importance of subscribing to this news network and keeping abreast of industry changes. Using an experiential event, brands in multiple industries can showcase products that may be difficult to show in 3D.
