Overview

TwitchCon is a semi-annual convention for the video lives-streaming service Twitch. It is organized by Twitch Interactive and focuses on the culture of live-streaming, entertainment, esports and internet culture. TwitchCon is open to industry professionals, streamers, and fans; the convention allows community members to meet streamers, discover new products, and trial upcoming games.

Concept &
Design

Gamer Supps was attending TwitchCon for the first time and wanted to make a huge splash. The goal was to put themselves on the map with a new target audience. All of the artwork was extremely vibrant anime appealing to the gamer demographic. The exhibit needed to include 2 private meeting rooms, a second private room just for the staff to take short breaks and also to reload with samples to hand out and premix the sports drinks. The goal was to give attract as much attention as possible and give out as many samples as possible.

Challenge

The biggest challenge for Gamer Supps was creating an exhibit to manage 30 employees on the perimeter of the 30’ x 30’ exhibit passing out samples to literally 100’s of people waiting in line while entertaining influencers in the 2 private meeting rooms. Also, the convention for TwitchCon is almost pitch black and we need this exhibit to stand out.

Solution

We created 2 private meeting rooms for meetings as well as a mixing room where the 30 employees could get in and out to reload with samples. The other challenge was lighting up the exhibit since TwitchCon convention is almost pitch black. We used lighting from the ceiling of the San Diego Convention Center to make this happen and it worked wonderfully.

Results

The exhibit was without a doubt the highlight of the entire show standing higher than any other exhibit at the show fully lit up inside the very dark convention center. It received rave reviews from attendees as well as the high-end influencers who were featured live signing autographs inside the exhibit. The creative design, combined with efficient traffic management and seamless product interaction, made a lasting impact on everyone who visited.
